Antimatter Hypothesis: Malmstrom and Vandenberg incidents

Here's a video from Larry King Live where a panel discusses two UFO incidents involving US missile defense systems. At Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana a "glowing red object" appeared over the base and ten missiles were disabled. An antimatter matter object (AMMO) gives off gamma rays when electrons and positrons annihilate each other. Gamma rays are ionizing radiation. The red glow could be the emission lines of nitrogen, the major constituent of air, or hydrogen, from liberated protons and antiprotons during matter antimatter annihilations. The change in electrostatic potential can cause a localized disruption in electric ground. Since missile guidance systems are electronic a disruption in electric ground could cause the missiles to malfunction as described.

At Vandenberg Air Force Base a missile launch was filmed from a mountain top through a telescope. At the final stage a UFO was filmed coming into the film frame, rounding the warhead, and exiting the frame. A few times the UFO sent a beam of energy at the warhead. The electrostatic force is the most powerful force governing the flight characteristics of an AMMO. The beam of energy could be an electrostatic discharge, like lightning. An AMMO in the neighborhood of the warhead could be attracted by the electrostatic force and when the electrostatic potential was dissipated, due to the electrostatic discharges, the AMMO could head elsewhere.

Antimatter is necessarily extraterrestrial in origin, since antimatter is annihilated in Earth's atmosphere and that explains why no debris is found at crash sites. However no intelligent agent controls the actions of AMMO.

Why bring in Antimatter? What scientific research or experiments would you quote to support your conclusions?

Was the beam that hit the warhead, as described by Prof Jacobs a matter, anti-matter or energy beam?

Can you explain in more detail how such a beam would interact with the envrironment. For example, you have any references as to how the antimatter would not just explode in an uncontrolled nuclear annihilation - i.e. how in the example of the orange object over malmstrom was the matter/antimatter reaction controlled?

Andrew writes: "Why bring in Antimatter?" I arrived at this subject the other way round. I developed the antimatter meteor hypothesis independently, but it is consistent with a lot of reported UFO phenomena. Since this video describes UFO incidents, I sought to determine whether the probable properties of antimatter meteors could explain the UFO behavior described here. In fact it can. Read my other blogs concerning the Antimatter Hypothesis in order from oldest to newest for full details.

Andrew writes: "What scientific research or experiments would you quote to support your conclusions?" None. I work from basic principles, rational arguments, and thought experiments as Einstein did. Read the description of Revolutionary Science under the blog title for a frame of reference. Peer review is a consensus driven approach. Thought experiments seek truth through consistency.

Andrew writes: "Was the beam that hit the warhead, as described by Prof Jacobs a matter, anti-matter or energy beam?" Hypothetically both. Normal lightning is a cascading movement of electrons through the air, which excites air molecules to the point of photon emission, which is the light we observe. Antimatter has surface positrons. The warhead, presumably metal, has surface electrons. Due to the electrostatic potential difference, positrons from the antimatter are attracted to the electrons of the warhead, the electrons of the warhead are attracted to the positrons of the antimatter, and electrons from the warhead are also attracted to the positive ions of air molecules whose electrons have been annihilated by positrons from the antimatter. An electrostatic discharge in the form of moving electrons and/or positrons generated an arc, and the arc excited the atmosphere into photon emission. So the beam was both moving matter electrons and antimatter positrons and an energy beam in the form of photon emission.

This hypothetical explanation of the probable characteristics of matter-antimatter interactions is consistent with the reported phenomenon. In addition, at the level of subatomic particles the electrostatic force is on the order of ten to the thirty-six times stronger than gravity. That's a billion times a billion time a billion times a billion. So the dominant force governing this episode is the electrostatic force not the gravitational force.

To answer Andrew's remaining question we need to dispel a common misconception about an uncontrolled matter-antimatter reaction. What a matter-antimatter reaction would look like is a great question. To answer it let's consider a though experiment. The chain-reaction that occurs in an atom bomb is fusion. Inside a solid radioactive substance like uranium or plutonium at critical mass the atoms decay into smaller elements and give off neutrons. These neutron in turn trigger the decay of other atoms, which give off more neutrons. Over time the number of decays increases exponentially causing an explosion.

A hydrogen bomb is triggered by an atom bomb, where heavy hydrogen in the form of deuterium and tritium is compressed by the blast of the atomic bomb producing fusion. Atoms of hydrogen fuse to become helium and release a tremendous amount of energy in the instant of compression causing an explosion.

Now let's consider solid antimatter in matter air. First the density of air is much less than a solid. Second the reaction takes place where matter and antimatter come in contact, the surface. Therefore, since air is less dense than water, antimatter dissolves much slower in air than Alka-Seltzer dissolves in water. The annihilation process is not exponential, but proportional to the surface area of the antimatter and the density of the surrounding air. Depending on the size of the antimatter meteor we're talking maybe hours, not the seconds you'd expect from an explosion. For a real world time estimate on how fast matter annihilates antimatter watch the video at my blog entry Best UFO footage ever?
