“Antimatter Hypothesis: A Viral Thought Experiment” has been published in book form on the Internet today. Simply stated the Antimatter Hypothesis assumes parity between matter and antimatter in the universe. The implications are revolutionary. None of the principles survived this incident; therefore no first hand account is available. It was later confirmed that strange orange lights or “bright flying spheres” were sighted in the direction of the incident from fifty kilometers farther south. The expedition might have encountered ball lightning, which is uniquely consistent with many of the details of this case. In particular, one hypothesis for ball lightning is antimatter, which has been suggested by Professor Philip M. Papaelias of the National University of Athens, Greece. Matter annihilates antimatter in Earth’s atmosphere, so the source of antimatter is extraterrestrial and complete annihilation takes from minutes to hours depending upon the initial size.

Here is the Dyatlov Pass story told as an encounter with ball lightning, or an Anti-Matter Matter Object (AMMO). The AMMO was attracted by rising heat from the fire outside the group’s tent, which generated a small thermal relative to the surrounding environment. The ball of fire descended outside the front of the tent and caused the members to abandon their tent in a hurry. They might have thought the tent was on fire and cut their way out away from the entrance. None had time to put on both boots; most only wore socks that they slept in. The hikers ran downhill, and the AMMO descended down the fall line, which gave the hikers the impression that they were being pursued.

Matter antimatter annihilations produce gamma radiation. Those who looked directly at the AMMO got sunburned faces from the invisible gamma rays. Gamma radiation will break molecular bonds. An experiment is needed to test whether gamma radiation will selectively destroy pigment molecules in hair. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can bleach pigment out of plastic, so this might explain the gray hair found on the victims. Forensic evidence suggested that the victims might have been blinded, which AMMO can do in the form of actinic conjunctivitis. Radiation was detected on clothing in the form of beta particles. Free neutrons produce beta decay, and antimatter will annihilate matter atomic nuclei and liberate neutrons in the process, which is consistent with an AMMO hypothesis. Electrostatic and gamma radiation properties of AMMO impair reasoning and the mind resorts to confabulation.

Ball lightning levitates, so only tracks of the party were found by searchers afterward. After five hundred meters, snow covered the tracks of the hikers. The search party did not arrive on the scene for another twenty-four days. That night the hikers headed for trees. Four climbed a tall pine tree to get above the pursuing AMMO. The AMMO may have pursued them for a number of reasons. Lightning will strike people standing in a field, attracted electrostatically by electrons coming through the human body from ground. The other five remained under the tree and may have been overcome by the AMMO. These five had orange to brown tan complexions from gamma radiation sunburn. The AMMO caused at least two of them to lose consciousness, Krivonischenko and Doroshenko, who may have gotten too close to the AMMO for the warmth it produced.

All the while annihilations reduced the size of the AMMO. Ball lightning might be an antimatter comet and therefore mostly ice. When ice melts it produces water and water vapor. Water vapor might give ball lightning its fiery properties, by vaporizing and mixing with matter air, annihilate and produce visual spectrum light through Compton scattering.

Some of the four in the tree climbed onto a branch five meters above the ground. Their weight, plus snow on the branch, caused the branch to break and all four tumbled down. Other branches below them broke and were later found scattered over the ground. Some sustained cracked skulls and ribs in the fall, but the injuries were not fatal. Those who fell out of the tree were injured, including Slobodin on the ground with a cracked skull. Heat from the AMMO started a smoldering fire with the branches that fell on or near it.

Ludmila Dubinina fell toward the AMMO and tried to scream. To scream we inhale. Dubinina inhaled and got a mouth full of antimatter water and water vapor. It annihilated her tongue and the lining of her mouth and throat (Digital Bits Skeptic, igor, 2008 March 11). The resulting gamma radiation seared her tissues, so she survived and did not bleed to death. She may have lost consciousness.

The conscious survivors prepared to leave and get medical attention. They removed clothing from the unconscious, Krivonischenko and Doroshenko. Dubinina’s coat and hat were found on Zolotarev. Dubinina revived, since she was wearing Valley Forge style boots in the form of Krivonishenko’s wool pants, when her body was recovered. The conscious set off wearing the outer clothing of the unconscious, which they had removed. Krivonishenko and Doroshenko never revived and died of hypothermia where they lay at the base of the tree.

Dyatlov, Kolmogorova, and Slobodin tried to make their way back to the tent but died of hypothermia on the way. The other four took another route and fell into a ravine, where a snow slide covered them with four meters of snow. They never dug their way out and died. None of the victims showed any signs of external injuries, and no trace of an explosion was ever found. Other explanations abound, but only AMMO is capable of explaining the weird details in such a compelling fashion.

An Inconvenient Truth: UFOs

Consensus holds no monopoly on the truth. It is human nature to seek validation of our beliefs and prejudices over accepting the truth. Dozens of ideas submitted to President Obama's Citizen's Briefing Book advocate UFO disclosure, and many more comments proclaim that we can handle the truth. If it is not what we expect to hear, can we really handle the truth? Many of the ideas and comments already anticipate disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrials, but what if the truth about UFOs is far more exotic, but mundane? Let's put our ability to handle the truth to the test.

Consistency between theory and facts is a far better predictor of truth than consensus. A consistent and comprehensive scientific explanation does exist of a natural, albeit rare, cause for genuine UFO phenomenon, and I'll bet you can't handle it. First of all, you can't handle it because the idea is unfamiliar. Familiarity breeds understanding, whereas ignorance is self perpetuating. The natural explanation for UFOs is: antimatter meteors. If you haven't stopped reading you are already in the minority. My bet is secure. So for the rest of you, let me explain how antimatter meteors are consistent with most if not all observed UFO phenomena, and then I'll explain why each UFO vested interest won't accept it as the truth.

Antimatter Concepts

Matter is composed of protons, electrons, and neutrons. Antimatter is composed of the antiparticles of matter: antiprotons, positrons, and antineutrons. Particle-antiparticle pairs exhibit equal and opposite properties of electric charge and magnetic moment, but identical mass. Mass and energy are equivalent from Einstein's famous equation, E = mc², where energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. A particle-antiparticle pair annihilate each other and produce two gamma rays, high energy photons above the range of x-rays. In the other direction, pair production is the transformation of energy into a particle-antiparticle pair.

No Debris Remains at Crash Sites

When antimatter meteors enter Earth's atmosphere, electrons annihilate positrons, protons annihilate antiprotons, and free antineutrons decay into positrons and antiprotons, which get annihilated as stated above. The end result is that the mass of antimatter meteors is completely transformed into energy and leaves behind no physical trace to retrieve as evidence.

Reflective Metallic Surface

Electrons are attracted by the electrostatic force to surface positrons of antimatter meteors, but electrons repel each other by the same force. In Earth's vicinity, electrons form a reflective bubble around antimatter. Valence electrons give metal the look of a mirrored surface. Mirrored orbs fitting this description appear in NASA video taken during STS-37 and STS-51A shuttle missions. The electron bubble appears to pop and reform in the STS-51A video revealing this bubble like property.

Cloud Like Surface

Water molecules are electric dipoles. The negative end of water vapor dipoles is attracted to positrons, which are positive. When antimatter surface positrons are annihilated they leave behind antiprotons, the positive end of water vapor dipoles is attracted to antiprotons, which are negative. Water vapor therefore condenses around antimatter meteors that then appear cloud like in high humidity environments. In low humidity environments like Mexico City the metallic surface phenomena prevails.

Glowing Lights

When matter and antimatter annihilate each other the result is ionizing gamma radiation. Gamma rays are outside the visible spectrum, but with Compton scattering air molecules absorb and emit photons of specific wavelengths. The result is aurora like light effects in the vicinity of antimatter meteors glowing in the emission spectrum of air molecules, predominantly nitrogen and degenerate atoms due to annihilations down to hydrogen.

Energy Beams

When electrons are annihilated in the air surrounding antimatter meteors the residual positive ions become electron attractors. When electrons flow toward this positive electric potential a cascading electrostatic discharge happens in the form of lightning. Electrons flow through gas in florescent and neon tubes and stimulate the emission of photons, which is the same process in air around antimatter meteors due to electrostatic discharges. Electrostatic discharges will occur between ground and an antimatter meteor, or between a person standing on the ground and an antimatter meteor, or between an antimatter meteor and an airborne object.

Passengers Seen on Board

Any human observer looking at a spheroidal antimatter meteor surrounded by an electron bubble will see a distorted smaller image of themselves. Look at the back of a spoon bowl for comparison. The reflective quality of some UFOs has been described as a dull metallic gray finish, rather than shiny like a spoon. The shininess is a factor of the electron bubble density.

Windows Seen in Crafts

The reflective electron bubble will reflect anything in the surrounding environment. At night, people on the ground will see reflected lights around them. At night streetlights, car headlights and taillights, and light showing through building windows reflect in the electron bubble giving the impression of windows in an airborne craft. Regularly spaced streetlights give the impression of regularly spaced windows.

Disrupting Electronics

Because antimatter positrons annihilate electrons, an antimatter meteor near the Earth's surface will disturb electric ground and disrupt electric currents. When an aircraft is hit by lightning the electronics are interrupted. This is a similar effect. Ten ballistic missiles malfunctioned at Malmstrom Air Force Base in conjunction with the report of a "glowing red object" overhead, which is consistent with an antimatter meteor disrupting electric ground in a localized area.

Radar Reflections

Electromagnetic radiation does not distinguish between matter and antimatter. A metallic antimatter meteor will reflect radar microwaves. However, an electron bubble surrounding a non-metallic antimatter meteor will also reflect microwaves, but the electron bubble can pop and reform making radar reflections erratic. Over time a stationary antimatter meteor will dissolve by annihilations and disappear. See hovering and breakneck accelerations below, also observed on radar.

Hovering

Hovering is commonly observed in insects, hummingbirds, and helicopters. But also consider a bird or balloon riding hot air thermals. Particle-antiparticle pairs exhibit opposite values of electrostatic charge, positive and negative, and magnetic moment, north-south pole alignment. For symmetry to fully apply, and in agreement with UFO observations, matter and antimatter may also exhibit opposite values of gravitation, gravity and antigravity.

When a matter meteor enters Earth's gravitational pull, it accelerates and burns up due to air resistance and exhibits a debris tail. In NASA STS-80 space shuttle video a bright UFO enters frame and into Earth's atmosphere, decelerates, hovers and then adopts the rotation of the Earth above cloud level. A second UFO suddenly appears from nowhere in center frame and follows a parallel course. The distance between the object and space shuttle camera is greater than the distance between Seattle and Portland, a three hour freeway drive. No debris tail is observed.

Matter antimatter annihilations produce gamma radiation and explain the sudden appearance and continuous brightness via Compton scattering of a far away object, after the antimatter meteor enters Earth's atmosphere. Deceleration is explained by antigravity and air resistance. No debris tail is explained by annihilations rather that vaporizing disintegration that matter exhibits.

Matter gravitationally attracts matter. By symmetry, antimatter must gravitationally attract antimatter. The gravitational force between matter and antimatter must be one of three possibilities: attracting, repelling, or nullifying. Observational evidence indicates that UFOs somehow resist gravity. Opposite symmetrical electrostatic and magnetic properties are the rule in particle-antiparticle pair production. Opposite symmetrical gravitational forces are not outside the realm of possibility, and are consistent with the observed properties of UFOs.

Breakneck Accelerations

At the level of protons and electrons, the electrostatic force dominates the gravitational force by orders of magnitude in the range of ten to the thirty-sixth, or a billion times a billion times a billion times a billion. When sufficient antimatter positrons are annihilated by electrons, the remaining antimatter antiprotons are negatively charged. In the vicinity or a large negative electrostatic potential like the Earth or lightning, predominantly antiproton antimatter is electrostatically repelled far beyond the comparatively weak gravitational force of the Earth. Breakneck accelerations are often reported in the vertical direction away from the Earth. Jet Stream air currents, wind shear, and micro-bursts can propel antimatter to enormous speeds by just going with the air flow. Antimatter meteors are not immune to air resistance, but seek equilibrium within their surrounding medium like a balloon.

Right Angle Turns

Atmospheric air currents are layered. Hot air balloons navigate but vertical displacement out of and into these different air currents, which cause changes in direction. In addition, antimatter meteors exhibit antigravity properties, which we observe as frictionless motion like an air hockey puck floating on a cushion of air. Out-gassing or electrostatic forces can impart a transverse impetus to the direction of travel making right angle turns possible, which does not violate Newtonian laws of motion, since a transverse force is responsible. The intensity of gamma radiation produced by matter antimatter annihilations makes antimatter meteors appear larger and closer than they need to be to remain visible. Momentum is a function of mass. The momentum of a small mass antimatter meteor is easier to redirect than a larger mass.

Flying Saucer Shape

Some UFOs appear saucer shaped with a bulge in the center. Magnetic field lines around an antimatter ferrous asteroid take on the configuration of the Van Allen radiation belts around Earth. It is therefore possible that electrically charged particles trapped in the toroid shaped magnetic field lines appear to represent the surface of a saucer shaped craft. Alternatively, when antimatter meteors break apart antigravity binds the antimatter pieces together, while collectively opposing gravity. Therefore the antimatter pieces can take on a rings-of-Saturn configuration. Form an electron bubble around this internal structure and you get a flying saucer shape.

Formations

Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 broke up into a string of smaller comets and collided with Jupiter in 1994. An antimatter meteor can be composed of any chemistry found in matter. An antimatter meteor can break up into many formations: a string of beads, mutually attracting bodies like a solar system or ring held together by antigravity, or mutually repelling objects like a star burst pattern when the electrostatic charge of ions repel each other by sudden changes as ions are formed or destroyed due to ionizing gamma radiation and annihilations.

Seemingly Intelligent Behavior

The non-ballistic trajectory of antimatter in a gravitational field, subject to air currents and out-gassing, gives the appearance and sense of intelligence where none exists. In the case of antimatter meteors, intelligence resides in the observer or subject, not in the object. Antimatter meteors pass the UFO equivalent of the Turing Test for Artificial Intelligence.

The NASA STS-75 "Tether Incident" is heralded by ufologists as the best evidence for the existence of extraterrestrials to date. Ball Lightning

Antimatter meteors are composed of the same stuff as interplanetary matter. In the intense heat of gamma radiation, antimatter comets vaporize into droplets. The increased surface area and therefore air fuel mixture increases the rate of annihilations and ionizing gamma radiation produced. The result is a hovering, glowing, sputtering object that produces heat from gamma radiation and emits light by Compton scattering. Ball lightning rides air currents but exhibits antigravity properties like that postulated for antimatter.

Crop Circles

The initial description of crop circles is a circular depression of crops. Ionizing gamma radiation destroys cellular structures and molecular bonds. Over exposure is lethal to biological organisms. Weakened plant stems then crumple to the ground. More complex crop circle patterns are therefore man made hoaxes, which have been demonstrated.

"Alien" bodies

Ionizing gamma radiation causes burns worse than sunburn. First, second, and third degree burns increase in severity, and can be lethal. So called crash victims suffer third degree burns. Some people experiencing close encounters suffer radiation poisoning. Antimatter meteors appear like shiny Christmas tree ornaments surrounded by glowing lights. Bodies are invariably described as short, which is consistent with children that curiosity killed.

Mutilated Cows

Most people seek shelter at night, whereas herds of cows are not sheltered at night. The night sky is exposed to meteor strikes. Antimatter is indigestible, so any living organism eating or being hit by antimatter is doomed to mutilation.

Abductions and Lost Time

Antimatter meteors disrupt electrical processes including biological nervous systems. Getting struck by lightning can stop a heart, breathing, and brain activity. A concussion can interrupt the mental capacity to store long term memory. This gap in memory can never be restored. The human mind fills in mental gaps to supply the missing information. False memories are the result. The initial cause is interruption of brain activity, which can be caused the disruption of electrical processes of the brain by antimatter meteors.

Secrecy

Government cover ups of UFOs have taken on many forms over the years. At first UFO phenomena was misunderstood. The Air Force mandate to protect American airspace was violated by UFOs. UFOs killed humans by gamma radiation, and the bodies were recovered and examined. At that stage the motive behind the UFO cover up was to stave off public panic. All evidence was sequestered to determine the truth about UFOs. When the truth of antimatter meteors was uncovered, secrecy took on a new mission. More secrecy surrounds antigravity research than the Manhattan project, which created the atomic bomb. Now nations all over the world have nukes. Disinformation surrounding antigravity is intended to prevent enemy states from connecting the dots and discovering that antimatter has antigravity properties, and developing antigravity vehicles.

Motives for Rejection

The truth concerning the antimatter meteor hypothesis is hard to handle for a number of reasons by different vested interests. Here are many of those reasons. "Don't confuse me with the facts. I have my mind made up."

ET Buffs

People who want to believe that interstellar tourists are visiting Earth will reject the antimatter meteor hypothesis since it provides a consistent and comprehensive explanation for most if not all observations concerning UFOs. That leaves little if any reason to support the ET hypothesis.

Whereas the antimatter meteor hypothesis does not preclude the existence of ET, it does commandeer most if not all the circumstantial evidence. Many who want to believe in ET hope that ET tech will save us from ourselves. Antimatter technology may help that cause, however the best possible policy in all circumstances is for us to rely on our own ingenuity to save ourselves.

Skeptics

Skeptics have served in the role of the inquisition for orthodox science concerning the UFO heresy. Ridicule and condescension have been their weapons. On the one hand the antimatter meteor hypothesis does provide a scientific explanation. However, acceptance of the antimatter meteor hypothesis is an admission of guilt that skeptics have served as obstructionists where truth is concerned, which violates the tenets of the scientific method they so fervently defend.

Scientific Peer Review Publications

The requirements for acceptance of a new theory by scientific peer review publications is to prove why the standard model is incorrect, and to provide mathematical proof of an alternate explanation. Antigravity as a minus sign in Newton's gravitational equations is not acceptable. Antimatter can only be contained within a vacuum, and as such is in short supply possibly only located at Area 51 if anywhere on Earth. Therefore the antimatter meteor hypothesis is speculative and as such is rejected by scientific peer review publications.

Astrophysicists

Many a tenured reputation has been built upon the counter intuitive assumption that a disparity of matter and antimatter exists in the universe. The antimatter meteor hypothesis is predicated upon the premise that parity does exists between matter and antimatter in the universe. This calls into question the Big Bang, which has been at the heart of cosmologists' reputation for over half a century. Einstein, for one, never endorsed the Big Bang idea. Scientists

The scientific establishment loses face in a big way should the antimatter meteor hypothesis prove true. Confirmation will expose the fact that the hardest of the hard sciences, physics, is not immune from errors of analysis, self deception, and hubris. The Big Bang will come to be known by future generations as this generation's equivalent of the medieval debate over how many angles can dance on the head of a pin. It will shake science to its core. The scientific method will be proven fallible, and common people will come to look upon scientists and scientific theories with skepticism and dismissal, whether or not it is deserved.

Black Ops

The ET debate has served well as a cover for secrecy regarding antigravity technology. The intended target of disinformation campaigns is for any competing group to spend valuable time and resources on dead end technological quests. Bob Lazar claimed that atomic element 115 exhibits antigravity properties, and that he gained that knowledge from classified documents he read at a facility near Area 51.

Corporations

Truth is the enemy of secrecy and vice versa. Corporations rely on patents, trade secrets, proprietary information, and non disclosure agreements to stifle competition. The disclosure that secrecy has prevented the commercial development of antimatter technology, with huge energy saving potential, will raise the question whether government and legal support for corporate secrecy violates the public interest and possibly the very survival of the human race.

UFO Investigators

Full disclosure will threaten the livelihood of these researchers. Self interest dictates that they therefore don't want the antimatter meteor hypothesis to be true.

Cable Program Producers

Many cable TV shows will suddenly have no value when the antimatter meteor hypothesis is generally accepted by the public. The economic interests of producers for these shows will lose earning power.

Conclusions

The antimatter meteor hypothesis may lack consensus, but it is consistent and comprehensive in its ability to explain the observed behavior of UFOs. As such, the antimatter meteor hypothesis is the only viable explanation for UFOs to date. Extraterrestrial vehicles begs the question of underlying technology. Any craft that emits gamma radiation is an incompetent design, which repudiates the probability of intelligent manufacture.

When it comes to making decisions, people routinely choose popularity over rigorous analysis, and familiarity over critical thinking. When the truth is inconvenient, we opt for convenience. CYA is human nature.

However, we measure progress by how well our theories match reality. Suppose the experts have it all wrong. How do we correct entrenched mistakes and overcome inertial resistance? It's not clear science or the scientific method has the answer to that one. It's not clear any other discipline has an answer either. Ignorance is bliss, but now you've encountered an alternate explanation for UFOs. Should you ever encounter a levitating, reflecting, glowing object and despite a temptation to reach out and touch it, recall my advice. Don't. CYA is human nature. Truth transcends context.

Antimatter Meteors

In "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" Thomas S. Kuhn states that the ability to explain anomalies is a hallmark of a paradigm shift. A modern anomaly is unidentified flying objects that in particular instances resemble the probable properties of antimatter meteors. Let's refer to these as antimatter matter objects or AMMO to avoid any confusion with flying saucer lore. When matter and antimatter come in contact, electrons annihilate positrons, and protons annihilate antiprotons. The result is ionizing gamma radiation, or high energy photons above the range of x-rays. Radiation is an unfortunate term referring to two distinct affects: radioactive decay of subatomic particles and electromagnetic radiation.

First, second, and third degree burns are commonly associated with solar radiation (sunburn), and infrared radiation from fires. Betty Cash and companions suffered from ionizing gamma radiation, during what appears to be a textbook AMMO incident.

What does a matter-antimatter reaction look like anyway? To answer that question let's consider a thought experiment. The chain-reaction that occurs in an atom bomb is nuclear fission. Inside a solid radioactive substance like uranium or plutonium at critical mass the atoms decay into lighter elements and give off neutrons. These neutrons in turn trigger the decay of other atoms, which give off more neutrons. Over time the number of decays increases exponentially causing an explosion.

A hydrogen bomb is triggered by an atom bomb, where heavy hydrogen in the form of deuterium and tritium is compressed by the blast of the atomic bomb producing nuclear fusion. Atoms of hydrogen fuse to become helium and release a tremendous amount of energy in the instant of compression causing an explosion.

Now let's consider solid antimatter in matter air. First the density of air is much less than a solid. Second the reaction takes place where matter and antimatter come in contact, the surface. Therefore, since air is less dense than water, antimatter dissolves much slower in air than Alka-Seltzer dissolves in water. The annihilation process is not exponential, but proportional to the surface area of the antimatter and the density of the surrounding air.

Electrons attracted to antimatter surface positrons also repel each other, so full fledged electron coverage is problematic. However, when electrons and positrons do annihilate, gamma rays are created from the energy. Gamma rays can eject positrons from the surface of antimatter into the surrounding air via the photoelectric effect, or eject electrons from atmospheric molecules that may collide with the antimatter. This can sustain a chain reaction with surface positrons until no more remain. Ridding the surface of positrons makes the surface of the antimatter electrostatically negative, from the antiprotons, which attract protons. Atomic nuclei orphaned by electron annihilations are attracted to the positron deficient antimatter. The annihilation process would proceed along the lines of an oscillating electrostatic field peeling away the surface of the antimatter like the layers of an onion.

Skeptics ask for physical evidence of UFOs, however antimatter dissolves in matter leaving behind only the aftermath of gamma radiation exposure, while the outside-in dissolving process is slower than metal in acid or Alka-Seltzer in water. Therefore, the no debris at crash sites defense doesn't apply to AMMO. People coming in contact with AMMO would suffer from radiation poisoning, overexposure being lethal. Bodies at crash sites could be humans that curiosity killed, no extraterrestrial intelligence required.

The electrostatic force is far greater than the gravitational force. Between electrons and protons this difference is on the order of ten to the thirty-sixth, or a billion times a billion times a billion times a billion, which is a good thing since the electrostatic force forms molecular bonds. This gives antimatter part of its anomalous properties. Electrons are attracted to antimatter positrons, but electrons repel each other. AMMO are observed with a reflective metallic surface. Electrons would form a bubble around antimatter, which is consistent with these observations (see NASA STS-37 and STS-51A artifacts).

The water molecule is an electric dipole. Water vapor would also be attracted to ionized AMMO, which would appear cloud like. An AMMO icy comet would appear like ball lightning. AMMO is consistent with the original description of crop circles. Ionizing gamma radiation causes aurora effects, which is consistent with neon like lights emanating from the vicinity of AMMO, where the color of the lights is determined by the emission spectrum of different atomic elements and molecules in the surrounding air.

From the observed properties of AMMO, either antimatter repels matter or matter and antimatter neutralize the gravitational affects of each other, meaning that antimatter is frictionless in a gravitational field (see NASA STS-80 artifacts). This property is a goldmine for antimatter technology. Frictionless or buoyant vehicles derived from antimatter technology could greatly reduce the energy consumption of transportation on Earth and from Earth into Earth orbit.

At this stage the existence of antimatter meteors is speculative, supported by circumstantial evidence. The up side is low energy transportation. Confirmation of antimatter would undermine UFO skeptics and extraterrestrial believers alike, as well as big bang cosmologists, who advocate a disparity between matter and antimatter.

An urban myth claims that only an extraterrestrial invasion could unify the human race. How about an extraterrestrial opportunity? Harnessing antimatter technology would change the future of transportation. Just imagine the energy efficient delivery of satellites into orbit. Air transportation would never fall out of the sky and crash again, because that would defy the law of antigravity. Antimatter harvested from outer space, safely outside Earth’s atmosphere, will seed a new industry of practical applications for antimatter technology.

NASA needs to accept a new mission to determine whether the existence of antimatter can be confirmed by observations. When verified NASA needs to capture antimatter and work to make it commercially available. Antimatter would need to be sealed in a vacuum surrounded by an insulating layer of matter to embed in future manmade vehicles.

Antimatter Hypothesis: Malmstrom and Vandenberg incidents

Here's a video from Larry King Live where a panel discusses two UFO incidents involving US missile defense systems. At Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana a "glowing red object" appeared over the base and ten missiles were disabled. An antimatter matter object (AMMO) gives off gamma rays when electrons and positrons annihilate each other. Gamma rays are ionizing radiation. The red glow could be the emission lines of nitrogen, the major constituent of air, or hydrogen, from liberated protons and antiprotons during matter antimatter annihilations. The change in electrostatic potential can cause a localized disruption in electric ground. Since missile guidance systems are electronic a disruption in electric ground could cause the missiles to malfunction as described.

At Vandenberg Air Force Base a missile launch was filmed from a mountain top through a telescope. At the final stage a UFO was filmed coming into the film frame, rounding the warhead, and exiting the frame. A few times the UFO sent a beam of energy at the warhead. The electrostatic force is the most powerful force governing the flight characteristics of an AMMO. The beam of energy could be an electrostatic discharge, like lightning. An AMMO in the neighborhood of the warhead could be attracted by the electrostatic force and when the electrostatic potential was dissipated, due to the electrostatic discharges, the AMMO could head elsewhere.

Antimatter is necessarily extraterrestrial in origin, since antimatter is annihilated in Earth's atmosphere and that explains why no debris is found at crash sites. However no intelligent agent controls the actions of AMMO.

Antimatter Hypothesis: STS-121

A phenomenon similar to that exhibited during the STS-80 shuttle mission was recorded by video during the STS-121 shuttle mission. An antimatter meteor is a viable explanation. The meteor does not appear until it hits Earth's atmosphere, and is preceded by lightning. Electrons in Earth's atmosphere are attracted to antimatter meteor surface positrons.

Antimatter Hypothesis: Crop Circles

Let’s consider what would happen should antimatter reach ground level, in a farmer’s field perhaps. Any biological organism would suffer severe cellular damage from an overdose of gamma radiation produce by matter antimatter annihilations, and the gravitational experience would mimic the proverbial ‘being stuck between a rock and a hard place.’ The crops would flatten to the ground. This is the initial description of crop circles. For sure, hoaxes have been perpetrated since then, but early reports of crop circles are consistent with this model of antimatter with antigravity properties. If human nature hasn’t changed in millennia then modern crop circle hoaxers may be descendants of early inhabitants of the Nazca Desert in Peru.

Anecdotal Evidence

When I was a child, my mother relayed an incident some of her relatives told her. My mother, now deceased, grew up on a farm in Nebraska. Her relatives were driving home at night when they spotted a light in a corn field. They pulled over and stopped the car beside the road, turned off their car lights and watched the object. When an oncoming car approached they thought the passengers would notice also, but the light dimmed so the other car continued on without stopping. They stayed for awhile and then went home.

The next day they returned and went to the farmer, who owned the field. They told the story of what they saw. They all went to the field together, and found the crops flattened in a circle. I cannot recall specifically how my mother described the scene, all the other parts of the story are easy to relate to. I cannot recall for certain whether she described the scene as "charred" or "scorched." I heard this story long before I ever learned about the crop circle phenomena. The dimming effect could be an optical illusion. When we see headlights at night our visual acuity deteriorates and we need time to readjust to darkness after the light is gone.

Best UFO footage ever?

The Internet video ‘Best UFO footage ever?’ was recorded by Dr. Willem Heijster, from Breda, The Netherlands on August 10, 1989 near Estepona, Spain. The object in the video appears to be a stationary cloud in an otherwise cloudless sky, but its surface exhibits strange turbulent behavior. If the object in this video is a genuine Antimatter Matter Object (AMMO) then we can speculate about its natural properties. Equivalent matter and antimatter subatomic particles exhibit opposite electrostatic and magnetic forces. The antimatter hypothesis is that equivalent matter and antimatter subatomic particles also exhibit opposite gravitational forces.


Of necessity, antimatter is extraterrestrial in origin, since matter and antimatter annihilate each other. Without lateral momentum and avoiding a direct collision with solid matter, AMMO on a collision course with Earth would decelerate and hover. Einstein discovered the equivalence of gravity and acceleration. When a meteor composed of matter falls to Earth it accelerates, since with gravitational forces like attracts like. However, AMMO decelerates and hovers since opposite gravitational forces either repel or neutralize each other. If gravity and acceleration are equivalent, then within a gravitational field antigravity produces deceleration, hovering, or acceleration in the opposite direction.

Electrons are attracted by the electrostatic force to antimatter surface positrons. This produces a bubble-like shimmering surface reminiscent of mercury. Electrons are negatively charged, and water vapor molecules are electric dipoles. Among all the constituents of air, most do not exhibit the property of electric dipoles. Therefore, in a high humidity environment, water vapor would attract by electrostatic forces to antimatter. The incident in the video occurred offshore a beach in Spain, which is consistent with AMMO. The negative end of a water vapor dipole would attract to antimatter surface positrons, or the positive end of a water vapor dipole would attract to antimatter antiprotons. Held in place, water vapor would then concentrate and condense out of the atmosphere around this charged attractor. From the outside it appears cloudlike, which is again consistent with AMMO in conjunction with water vapor.

When zoomed in the object in the video resembles Saturn, a ball in the center surrounded by an inner tube torus. Ions in a magnetic field traverse field lines in a spiral, like an electromagnet. Ions cause auroras at Earth’s poles. But water vapor is composed of dipoles, not ions. It appears that water vapor molecules are concentrating in the equivalent of Van Allen Belts around antimatter with its own magnetic field. Near the end of the video this message appears, ‘the object was there for about an hour and then fade (sic) away like smoke.’ In the end the hovering antimatter dissolved. The slow rate of dissolve and stable position implies high density antimatter exhibiting magnetism like an asteroid. Gamma radiation would eject positrons from the metallic antimatter, via the photoelectric effect, to annihilate electrons and start a chain reaction. The behavior of the object in this video is consistent with the properties of antimatter with antigravity.

Antimatter Hypothesis: Cyclical Cellular Cosmology

The Cyclical Cellular Cosmological model is predicated upon three premises:
    1. Symmetrical forces.
    2. A linear, zero centered coordinate system.
    3. A scalable cellular mechanism for growth and propagation.

Identifying the excommunicated antigravity component was a consequence of the first and second premises. Assuming that antimatter possesses the antigravity property led to the identification, explanation, and demystification of the AMMO phenomenon.

So in essence, the premises provided a framework for identifying supporting evidence. Antigravity also solved the problem of how to fragment a black hole during cellular division, the sought after cosmic level mechanism of premise three. In hindsight, fragmenting black holes proved an invalid hypothesis. The last key piece of the puzzle fell into place when I examined an annotated Hubble Space Telescope image. Circles identified globular clusters surrounding an elliptical galaxy, which I recognized as a baby picture.

The date was Thursday, 29 May 2008. On Thursday, 5 June 2008, feeling confidence in the model and wanting to be comprehensive I tackled the formation of the enigmatic barred spiral galaxies. On Sunday, 15 June 2008 I realized antiparticle accretion disks act like gauntlets that produce relativistic jets. On Tuesday, 1 July 2008 I recognized spiral galaxy rim dust around elliptical galaxies, and realized a continuum of galaxy evolution as a consequence of inside-out galaxy formation.

Antimatter Hypothesis: Cash-Landrum Incident

In another celebrated close encounter case, Betty Cash, Vicki Landrum, and Vicki’s grandson Colby encountered an antimatter matter object (AMMO) that they approximated to rival the size of the Dayton, Texas water tower. The object had a dull silver color with a diamond gem shape, rounded top and sides, but truncated bottom. This describes the distortion of perspective when looking up at a large overhead sphere. Ever notice how small children draw pictures of adults with small heads?

The object had blue lights around the middle, and when it got close to the ground, red orange ‘flames’ shot out in a cone shaped area between the object and the ground. Electrons from the ground ionized the air on a path to the object. The closet point being the bottom of the object created a cone like appearance.

The spectral emission lines of nitrogen are strong in red, yellow, green, and blue. Hydrogen has strong spectral lines in red and cyan, perhaps liberated in proton antiproton annihilations. The AMMO generated a tremendous amount of heat, which made the body of their automobile hot to the touch. Later, the witnesses all experienced symptoms of radiation poisoning, which is consistent with ionizing gamma radiation produced by matter-antimatter annihilations. It felt like sunburn, only the symptoms were far worse including blistering skin, fever, and hair loss.


So is AMMO a natural phenomenon or an interstellar tourist? What’s our verdict? Well, first and foremost AMMO is a risk to human health. That much is certain, and any manufactured vehicle that produces gamma radiation and atmospheric ionization is a technically incompetent design, which rules out intelligence. Therefore AMMO must be natural in origin, albeit rarely observed, and I advise everyone to stay clear for health reasons.

But what causes the reflective bubble? I have my suspicions about a natural cause, but common phenomena cannot explain it. Matter in a matter environment doesn’t look this way, and by analogy we can assume that antimatter in an antimatter environment doesn’t look this way either. A metallic surface is the closest approximation. Consider a mirror or a mylar balloon or mercury.

What causes a mirrored surface? For any surface, atoms absorb and emit light. An object is composed of atoms, where the color we see is emitted photons of light. An apple emits red wavelengths. An orange emits orange wavelengths. A banana absorbs all visible wavelengths except yellow that it emits. Fruits don’t glow on their own, but selectively emit photons that impinge on them. A mirror reflects all visible wavelengths, but absorbs none. So what’s the atomic difference between a fruit and a mirror?

We know that polished metal is reflective, and conducts electricity. Fruit does not conduct electricity as well. We also know that the spectrum produced by atoms is due to the atomic orbitals of electrons electrostatically bound to atomic nuclei. Electric current is the movement of weakly bound electrons from atom to atom. So if electrons in covalent bonds are selective in the wavelengths of light they absorb and emit, then donor electrons, like the valence electron of metals, are indiscriminate in the wavelengths of light they absorb and reradiate, which causes a mirrored surface.

Therefore the mirrored bubble around AMMO is an assemblage of electrons not bound to any atoms. In this case, matter and antimatter act together and produce an uncommon experience. That’s why the reflective bubble looks alien. The electrons are attracted to the antimatter by one or more forces, but electrostatically repel each other. What forces form the bubble?

Even for a chunk of matter larger than an elephant, the electrostatic force between an electron and a proton overwhelms the gravitational force. A kilogram is over two pounds. Ten thousand kilograms is about eleven tons. So the reflective bubble around antimatter must be governed by electrostatic forces. Antiprotons of antimatter have negative charge, and positrons have positive charge. So a chunk of antimatter has a positive layer of positrons on its surface and electrons form a geodesic bubble of balancing electrostatic forces around the antimatter, where electrons are attracted to positrons and electrons repel each other. When the balance is disturbed, then the bubble pops, but it’s natural for the bubble to reform again.

The witnesses also reported seeing an escort of helicopters arrive after about twenty minutes, and identified some of the twenty-three helicopters they counted as the tandem-rotor Boeing Chinook variety. The incident took place in the vicinity of Houston, Texas on 29 December 1980, between Christmas and New Years. The closest vacuum chamber large enough to contain an object that big is located at Johnson Space Center, conveniently or coincidentally located outside Houston also. You may recall that it was used as a setting in the movie Armageddon.

Secrecy

If our government has captured antimatter, then in the mind of some authorities a very good reason must exist for keeping that information secret. Tighter secrecy surrounds antigravity research today than the Manhattan project, which constructed the first atom bomb during World War II. Consider what happened with atomic research. We developed uranium fission. We tested it. We used it in war. We developed nuclear bombs, a hydrogen fusion chain reaction triggered by a plutonium fission chain reaction. And now nations all over the world have nukes, including enemy states. How safe do we feel now? Kind of defeats the purpose. Doesn’t it?

In an adversarial world, how would we feel if enemy states developed antigravity vehicles? Not a pleasant thought. But secrecy stifles scientific progress. Open inquiry is an absolute necessity for the scientific method to operate. The goals of national security and the goals of science are at odds. However, truth transcends context. Nobody needs government permission to prove the antimatter hypothesis or any other hypothesis. Other avenues of investigation exist, and that is typically the case.

Truth is fruit born of conscientious endeavors, but the nature of scientific, peer review publications is to abstain from efforts to coordinate thinking outside the orthodox. Peer review publications are geared toward reductionism, working out the details of existing theories, not airing promising new hypotheses. The greatest obstacle stifling progress, in all disciplines, is an innate defect within reductionism and within deduction: thinking inside the mainstream, and secrecy thrives on the complacency of reductionism.

The case of Travis Walton was made into the movie “Fire in the Sky.” Walton was one of seven witnesses in a forest setting. Walton approached alone beneath a hovering, glowing, metallic object that both reflected and gave off light, a description which is consistent with antigravity antimatter surrounded by a reflective electron±positron bubble and ionizing aurora effects.

Gamma radiation from matter-antimatter annihilations is not directly visible to the human eye, but it is ionizing radiation, which strips electrons from atoms and molecules that causes localized aurora effects. When Walton rose up from a crouched position to turn and leave, he felt an electric shock and became unconscious. His companions described an energy beam that hit Walton and lit up the whole area, lifted him a foot into the air, and knocked him back about ten feet, where he fell crumpled to the ground. His companions thought Walton was dead and drove away in panic. Up to this point all witnesses corroborate each other.

Annihilated electrons in air leave behind positive ions of atmospheric molecules. Electrons from the ground took the path of least resistance to neutralize the electric charge potential, directly through Walton’s body. Walton was caught in a path of lightning. The lightning momentarily paralyzed him and disrupted his ability to store long term memory for days. A search party failed to find Walton, however in his disturbed mental state he probably avoided the search party. After recovering his mental faculties he would have no way of recalling what happened during this gap in his memory, which finally normalized five days later and thirty miles away.

The book and the movie about Walton’s lost time embellish it as an extraterrestrial encounter. An egg shaped AMMO will orient itself with the large end on top. Looking at the electron±positron bubble will reflect a distorted image of the observer and give the impression of a small nose, mouth, and ears, with a hairless large domed head. The staring eyes come from the fact that when Walton blinks he cannot see his own reflection do the same. I am Caucasian as is Walton. In looking at the back of a soup spoon, my eye sockets and eyebrows blend into two dark pits. The apparent color of these AMMO is grey. All this is consistent with the description of the Greys, a race of extraterrestrials.

Walton cites orange as the color of the outfits worn by the three Greys surrounding him, when he regained consciousness. The clothes could have been Walton’s own reflection, or a mixture of the primary colors of auroras: red and green. Red and green in equal proportions makes yellow, but with more red it makes orange. Walton picked up something, perhaps a branch, and swung it at the Greys.

The AMMO must have fragmented as annihilations progressed, since Walton saw three objects that he anthropomorphized, but the Greys never communicated with him. The three objects left him or disappeared via annihilations. The tall human like beings could have been his reflection is a larger AMMO, or the searchers looking for him. A puncture found in Walton’s arm could have been caused by a stray grain of antimatter. The rest of the extraterrestrial encounter is the mind of Walton filling in the blanks and trying to make sense of what happened to him, while being predisposed to the idea of flying saucers. His brain was scrambled by the electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic fields, and gamma radiation of the AMMO.

Walton did have a close encounter with extraterrestrials; however the extraterrestrials were inanimate antimatter meteors. Encounters of this sort tell us more about the subject, the observer, than the object. However, more information helps piece together the properties of AMMO from all the different accounts. From Walton’s description we get a glimpse into what he imagined the inside of a flying saucer would look like, just as Daniel W. Fry, Antonio Villas Boas, and Betty Hill gave us a glimpse into their imaginations. A Lie Detector could never detect that these confabulations are false memories struggling to reconcile unusual experiences with everyday reality.

Antimatter Hypothesis: NASA STS-37

Here's a NASA video from space shuttle mission STS-37. This video was recorded on a space shuttle mission that launched 5 April 1991. The land below is the southwest coast of South America. The Pacific ocean and Chili are on the near side, with Argentina and the Atlantic ocean on the far side.

In a lower orbit it would reflect the black of space above. At center frame in frame two the orb reverses direction, consistent with antigravity and not much else. In frame three the orb reflects both land and sea below. Then it stops reflecting land in frame four. The scene ends with the co-orbiting orb maintaining its position in the frame while the Earth continues to pass by below in frame five, which means that it adapted to the same orbital velocity as the space shuttle. This video is actually three times normal speed, so twenty seconds of play time is more than a minute of real time. One thing we know for sure, the orb reflects its surroundings but it doesn’t appear to glow. At least not in the visual spectrum in the vacuum of space. So what is the surface made of? Would it act the same way in Earth’s atmosphere?

Antimatter Hypothesis: NASA STS-51A

The nose of the space shuttle is reflected in the satellite, and the astronaut is in the shadow of the space shuttle. The tip of the shuttle bay robotic arm is parked at lower right. The orb first appears in frame one and reflects the black of space with small highlights. As the orb descends the highlights grow in size. In frame two the orb reflects the sun above, and the satellite is reflected on the lower left. When the orb lines up with the horizon it reflects the sun above and the clouds below in frame three. Then the orb skirts the horizon to the right, which is non ballistic motion, but consistent with antigravity repelled by the satellite and the space shuttle. At one point in frame four the reflective surface appears to pop like a bubble. But then the reflective bubble reforms again in frame five on its way to exiting the frame to the right. How can we explain this? Is this a natural phenomenon or an interstellar tourist? Three seconds isn’t much to go on.

Antimatter Hypothesis: NASA STS-80

Here's a NASA video from space shuttle mission STS-80. You need to click on it twice to view it at YouTube. This video was recorded on a space shuttle mission that launched 19 November 1996. Earth is in the background. The flashes are lightning. A luminous object enters from the lower right hand corner, decelerates, hovers above cloud level, and then becomes geostationary. This object appears to obey hypothetical laws of antigravity.

Be advised that the space shuttle was designed with nineteen seventies technology. So the black and white video camera has a video tube, not a CCD chip like modern cameras. The black center to lightning is an artifact of video tubes when intense saturation occurs over an extended area of the image. Notice that the object takes on a dark center when it decelerates completely.

This is the same characteristic video tube artifact as lightning, which means that the object became brighter when it halted its downward momentum. That’s a clue, but a clue to what? When a meteor streaks across the sky it leaves a trail, as it disintegrates. Notice that this object leaves no trail, but it is bright. Something must cause that brightness. Either reflection of the sun, or an innate capacity to generate electromagnetic radiation. The operational altitude of the space shuttle was about 350 kilometers for this mission. Meteors burn up between fifty and eighty-five kilometers above the Earth's surface. This object is farther away than the distance from Seattle to Portland and is either very bright or very big. Maybe both. Maybe not. Size is inconclusive, like the luminosity of stars at night.

Earth’s edge becomes obvious toward the end of the video. A narrow band lies in night, which means the sun could be reflecting off the object. Are natural objects highly reflective? The Moon is.

A chemical reaction between the object and Earth’s atmosphere might cause an increase in brightness, but that should leave a trail. Reflective objects can be bright without leaving trails. Maybe the trail exists, but any evidence appears outside the visible spectrum. That would make antimatter an intriguing possibility.

E = mc²

The equivalence of mass and energy is described by Einstein’s famous equation: energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. Experiments with particle accelerators confirm that the conversion of energy into substance always produces a pair of matter-antimatter particles. The Milky Way is formed out of matter; so where is all the antimatter hiding? The particle and antiparticle of pair production exhibit opposite properties of electric charge, and magnetic moment. Maybe particles of matter and antimatter exhibit opposite properties of gravitation too.

Antimatter with antigravity properties might explain this phenomenon, but be cautioned that explaining a phenomenon may or may not be the same thing as causing it. Antigravity explains deceleration in Earth’s gravity for one, and antimatter explains increased brightness in Earth’s atmosphere for another. Matter and antimatter in contact annihilate each other and produce gamma rays. Gamma rays are outside the visual spectrum and outside the range of the space shuttle video camera, but gamma rays are ionizing radiation. That means gamma rays strip electrons from atoms and molecules. The result is a localized aurora effect around the object.

Whereas a normal meteor quickly disintegrates, antimatter in Earth’s atmosphere would transform into primary gamma radiation, and secondary ionization effects. The first annihilations occur between electrons and their antiparticle, positrons, leaving positive ions in Earth’s atmosphere. Electron movement to neutralize this initial imbalance of electric charge might cause lightning, which we observe.

In Earth’s atmosphere, matter-antimatter annihilations would dissolve antimatter as if by acid. Imagine an Alka-Seltzer tablet being dropped into a glass of water. The tablet fizzed away, and slowly dissolved from the outside in. The rate of annihilation depends on the density of the antimatter and atmospheric pressure. A chunk of asteroid would dissolve slow and steady, whereas a chunk of comet would dissolve faster but exhibit erratic movements due to out gassing, a motion suggestive of the flight characteristics described by reports of unidentified flying objects. In addition, no debris remains at crash sites, which explains another bugaboo. A melting snowball comet would produce antigravity droplets and vapor. Air fuel mixture is a factor in the rate of combustion. Ball lightning, which exhibits antigravity properties, is consistent with a small antimatter comet.


Another object appears and travels to the upper left of the image, parallel to the path of the original object. Either this new object is coming up out of the clouds or down from above. Recall that the first object decelerated and hovered before acquiring the rotation of the Earth. Antimatter on a collision course with the Earth hitting the atmosphere could explain all of these observations. When the object first appears there is a bloom of light, and the object decelerates as it moves. Any other explanation needs to account for both those facts, and the distance to the object is hundreds of kilometers.
